    Welcome to Forever Wild

    Forever Wild host a variety of forest school experiences including school and nursery programmes, birthday parties, after school clubs, family events, holiday clubs, early years stay and play and parent and baby sessions. We offer a welcoming outdoor environment for communities to gather by the campfire, connecting with nature and each other.

    Nursery & School Programmes

    We currently welcome school and nursery groups to our base site in Didsbury, as well as working at other schools and nurseries within their own settings, delivering both long term programmes and one-off sessions too. During Forever Wild Forest School sessions, your children can enjoy having the freedom to explore the outdoors, whilst being in a safe and secure environment that is monitored and thoroughly risk-assessed by our staff.

    We have lots of experience running programmes for schools and nursery groups, offering hands-on natural learning opportunities appropriate to each child’s stage of development.

    Activities can include:

    1. Cooking on the Campfire
    2. Teamwork and Problem Solving
    3. Mud Kitchen
    4. Den Building
    5. Mini Beast hunts
    6. Natural Art and Crafts

    We are passionate about the benefits of spending time outside and bringing nature into a child’s everyday life to support their mental wellbeing, and perhaps never more has this been so important.

    Forest Babies

    For parents with babies from new-born up to toddling age

    A welcoming and special place to meet up around the campfire in the open air. Enjoy outdoor sensory play, engage in a mindful moment with a simple nature craft by the fire, or relax in a hammock and let your baby enjoy the breeze, the scents of the forest and the woodland sounds.

    Wild Tots

    For children from toddling age up to school age.

    Our Early Years Wild Tots are filled with stories, exploring, trails, woodland arts and crafts and lots and lots of outdoor play to stimulate curiosity and encourage child-led exploration, in a wild and wonderful woodland setting.

    The unique sessions offer an exciting blend of creative nature art and craft opportunities, sensory outdoor exploration, and woodland adventure. We build dens, mud pies and fairy gardens and jump in puddles, roll in leaves and hunt for mini beasts!

    Forest Kids

    After School Clubs

    At our friendly Forest Kids after school clubs your child will:

    1. Learn new skills, making new friends along the way
    2. Boost their confidence, self-esteem, and resilience
    3. Be outdoors in nature, getting exercise in the fresh air

    Activities include games, campfire cooking, nature arts and crafting, fire lighting, den building, bug hunting, friendship making, hammock swinging and much more!

    Family Forest Fun

    For families with children of all ages

    Nature Crafts, Campfire Snack, Fun and Fresh Air, and Exploring!

    Our Family Forest Fun sessions are run by fully qualified forest school practitioners. Join us for woodland exploring, campfire snacking, nature crafting, den-building and much more! The fun-filled sessions promote outdoor adventure in our wonderful woodland settings, ensuring families are free to play, create and explore and enjoy all the benefits of the outdoors.

    Holiday Clubs

    For children aged between 6 - 11yrs.

    At our friendly Forest Kids after school clubs your child will:

    1. Learn new skills, making new friends along the way
    2. Boost their confidence, self-esteem, and resilience
    3. Be outdoors in nature, getting exercise in the fresh air

    Every holiday club day is different. Our leaders come prepared with a range of activities to offer the group, but the days are child-led with plenty of free play and choice. Activities may include games, campfire cooking, outdoor art and craft, fire lighting, woodland tools and den building.

    Birthday Parties

    Forever Wild Parties are filled with fun and adventure! We toast marshmallows around the campfire, explore the wild woods, play games and create woodland crafts to make sure of a very special birthday to remember.

    Choose between a morning party or an afternoon party and for available dates please get in touch.

      LOCATION

      Our Forever Wild Forest School base camp is set within a wild and wonderful woodland environment in Didsbury. We have parking, rain shelters, mud kitchens, log seating around our fire circle, dens, activity stations and much more to explore. We believe that the use of a local outdoor setting enables our participants to return to the same site often so that over time, this familiarity enables freedom, creativity and confidence to thrive.

      We also run lots of sessions and programmes across other locations in Greater Manchester and can come to your setting to deliver our programmes too. Just for details.
